Maria Eduarda Freitas is a biologist who collaborates with UFABC on activities related to biodiversity monitoring, environmental education, and citizen science. She participated as an instructor in our Field Workshop on Pollinator Monitoring and Citizen Science, contributing to both the theoretical discussions and the practical field activities.
Her participation helps strengthen the connection between academic research and community-based learning within the Ilha do Mel Nativo project. By helping make scientific knowledge more accessible and applicable in the field, she contributes to greater environmental awareness and supports local efforts to understand and conserve pollinators and biodiversity in Pontal do Sul and the coastal Atlantic Forest.
