Pollination Awareness

This category promotes understanding of how pollination sustains biodiversity in Pontal do Sul, Ilha do Mel and the wider Atlantic Forest region. It highlights the role of native stingless bees, the importance of flowering habitats and the educational efforts led by the Ilha do Mel Nativo project – Guardians of Native Bees and Coastal Biodiversity. The goal is to inspire communities, visitors and families to recognize the ecological value of pollinators and support actions that protect them.

Ilha do Mel Nativo is an environmental initiative based in Pontal do Sul and along the coastal region of Paraná, Brazil. Our mission is to promote awareness, conservation and appreciation of the biodiversity of this Atlantic Forest ecosystem with a special focus on pollination processes and Brazil’s native stingless bees.
