Elizabeth Broch

Elizabeth is part of the Ilha do Mel Nativo team and an active member of Human Hand. She works in field activities and environmental observation, supported by theoretical and practical training in ecology and pollinator monitoring.

She has maintained, for many years, a systematic record of the behavior of native stingless bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Her observations include floral visitation patterns, interactions with native plant species and the seasonal dynamics that shape pollination along the Paraná coast.

Her ongoing work strengthens biodiversity studies, environmental education initiatives and sustainable practice development. It also adds technical consistency to the projects carried out by both Ilha do Mel Nativo and Human Hand.

Field Workshop on Pollinator Monitoring & Citizen Science — UFABC On November 7, 2025, our Ilha do Mel Nativo team joined the hands-on workshop “Monitoring Pollinators through Citizen Science” at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), São Bernardo do Campo campus. The session combined a concise theoretical overview with practical field activities and the use of citizen-science tools to record plant–pollinator interactions.
